Immunity follows a gang of adolescent girls drifting through a dystopian, sun-soaked landscape, trapped under a charismatic, unseen force. Their witchy, transformative escape unfolds amid haunting echoes of Charles Manson, embodied by the late cult musician Jimi Riddle, and symbols of masculine energy. Created before the director’s coming out, the film carries a gendered prophetic undertone.
