PARTICIPANT MEDIA & APPEARANCE RELEASE

PROJECT

I understand that SUITCASE STORYZ (the “Documentary”) is an original documentary film produced by Faba Films, in association with The Joy Lab, Inc.

The Documentary follows participants during a journey walking the Camino de Santiago from Portugal to Spain, documenting their experiences, conversations, relationships, challenges, discoveries, and personal stories along the journey. Filming may take place throughout the walk and may include additional scheduled or unscheduled interviews, conversations, activities, and documentary footage.

By signing this release, I voluntarily agree to participate in the Documentary and grant the Producer the rights described below.

1. PERMISSION TO FILM AND RECORD

I hereby grant Faba Films, The Joy Lab, Inc., and their respective producers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives, successors, licensees, distributors, and authorized partners permission to:

• Photograph and film me.

• Record my voice and statements.

• Record interviews and conversations with me.

• Record my participation in activities associated with the Camino de Santiago journey.

• Capture candid, observational, behind-the-scenes, and documentary footage of me.

• Record still photographs of me.

• Use my name, likeness, image, voice, biography, personal statements, and appearance in connection with the Documentary and its promotion.

I understand that filming may occur during the journey from Portugal to Spain and that I may appear individually or together with other participants.

2. EDITING AND CREATIVE USE

I understand that the Producer will have editorial control over the Documentary.

I authorize Faba Films to edit, arrange, reproduce, modify, combine, excerpt, subtitle, translate, or otherwise incorporate my appearance, interview, voice, statements, and footage into the Documentary and related promotional materials.

I understand that portions of my interview or appearance may be edited for time, storytelling, pacing, continuity, or creative purposes.

I understand that the Documentary may include sensitive, emotional, personal, humorous, difficult, or otherwise candid moments that occur during filming, and I authorize the Producer to use such material as part of the Documentary, provided it is used in a legitimate documentary, promotional, educational, or entertainment context.

3. TRAILER, CLIPS, SOCIAL MEDIA & PROMOTION

I grant Faba Films and The Joy Lab, Inc. permission to use footage of me, including excerpts from my interviews and appearances, for publicity, advertising, marketing, promotion, and distribution of the Documentary.

This permission includes, but is not limited to:

• Official trailers and teasers.

• Promotional clips.

• Social media videos and posts.

• Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, and other social media platforms.

• Website and streaming-platform content.

• Press releases and press coverage.

• Festival submissions and festival promotional materials.

• Posters, photographs, artwork, thumbnails, advertisements, and other promotional materials.

• Interviews and media appearances relating to the Documentary.

• Behind-the-scenes content.

I understand that promotional footage may be publicly available online and may be viewed, shared, reposted, or embedded by members of the public.

4. FILM FESTIVALS & PUBLIC SCREENINGS

I authorize Faba Films and The Joy Lab, Inc. to submit, exhibit, screen, distribute, and promote the Documentary at film festivals, educational events, theaters, community screenings, cultural events, conferences, exhibitions, and other public or private screenings throughout the world.

This permission includes the right to use my name, likeness, image, voice, biography, and appearance in connection with festival submissions, programs, promotional materials, press materials, and screenings.

5. GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION & STREAMING

I authorize Faba Films and The Joy Lab, Inc. to distribute and make the Documentary available throughout the world, including through:

• Faba Films.

• Websites and streaming platforms.

• Video-on-demand services.

• Educational platforms.

• Television and digital media.

• Theatrical and non-theatrical screenings.

• Film festivals.

• Social media platforms.

• Digital downloads and other existing or future forms of media distribution.

I understand that the Documentary may be made available globally and in perpetuity, subject to the Producer's distribution agreements and business decisions.

6. TRANSLATION & INTERNATIONAL USE

I understand that the Documentary may be subtitled, dubbed, translated, adapted, or otherwise prepared for audiences in different countries and languages.

I authorize the use of my recorded appearance, voice, statements, and likeness in such international versions of the Documentary and its promotional materials.

7. NAME, BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION & LIKENESS

I authorize Faba Films and The Joy Lab, Inc. to use my name, photograph, likeness, voice, biography, occupation, hometown, age or general biographical information that I voluntarily provide, and other information provided by me for purposes reasonably related to the Documentary and its promotion.

8. NO GUARANTEE OF APPEARANCE

I understand that being filmed does not guarantee that my footage, interview, photograph, or appearance will ultimately appear in the finished Documentary.

The Producer may determine, in its sole editorial discretion, which footage is included, excluded, shortened, edited, or otherwise used.

9. OWNERSHIP OF RECORDINGS

I understand and agree that all photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, interviews, and other materials recorded by or on behalf of Faba Films in connection with the Documentary shall be owned by Faba Films or its designated production entity, subject to applicable law.

I do not acquire ownership or copyright rights in the Documentary or in the recordings simply because I appear in them.

10. RELEASE OF CLAIMS

To the extent permitted by law, I release and discharge Faba Films, The Joy Lab, Inc., and their respective producers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives, successors, licensees, distributors, exhibitors, and authorized partners from claims arising from the authorized use of my name, likeness, image, voice, appearance, and recorded statements as described in this Release.

This Release does not authorize the Producer to use my participation for purposes unrelated to the Documentary or its legitimate promotion, distribution, exhibition, or exploitation.

11. COMPENSATION

I understand that my participation in the Documentary is voluntary and that I will not receive additional compensation, royalties, residuals, or other payment for the use of my appearance, voice, likeness, interviews, or footage unless a separate written agreement specifically provides otherwise.

12. NO OBLIGATION TO USE FOOTAGE

I understand that Faba Films is not obligated to use any footage, interview, photograph, statement, or other recording of me in the finished Documentary or in any promotional material.

13. DURATION & TERRITORY

The rights granted under this Release are granted:

Territory: Worldwide
Term: In perpetuity, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I understand that this means the Documentary and authorized excerpts or promotional materials may continue to be distributed, exhibited, streamed, promoted, archived, and made available internationally after the initial release of the Documentary.

14. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION

I confirm that:

• I am voluntarily participating in the Documentary.

• I have had the opportunity to ask questions about my participation.

• I understand the general nature and purpose of the Documentary.

• I understand that documentary filmmaking may involve filming in public and private settings associated with the journey.

• I am not being forced or coerced into signing this Release.

• I understand that this Release is intended to provide Faba Films with the necessary rights to produce, promote, distribute, exhibit, and make the Documentary available to audiences worldwide.

15. REPRESENTATION

I represent that I have the legal capacity to enter into this Release.

If the participant is under the age of 18, this Release must also be signed by the participant's parent or legal guardian.
